I’m a cheese lover at heart but due to sensitive skin and eczema, dairy just ain’t my jam. Chasew cheese is a delicious alternative. Mmmmmm, yum, yum.
Today’s recipe includes Oregano essential oil.
Oregano offers a herbie flavor to this creamy cheese and packs a health punch. As one of the most potent and powerful oils, Oregano is a powerhouse for the immune system.
Makes 300g (glass jar) / Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup of soaked cashews
1-2 drops oregano essential oil
1/2 cup water or olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon himalayan salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Soak cashews in filtered water for at least 2 hours.
Drain and place soaked cashews in a blender and blend until smooth.
Add all other ingredients and blend until smooth.
Add more water/oil if you wish to have a runnier cheese.
Pop in a glass jar and store in the fridge until finished.
